New Craftsman chainsaw won't start
AnsweredI bought a Craftsman 10-inch chainsaw (CMECSP610) today, and I've not been able to start it. I've followed the directions, added the oil, engaged the trigger switch and on/off switches, but nothing works. I've used a new extension cord as well. Help!

1. To turn the tool ON press in the lock button with your thumb and then squeeze the trigger switch with your fingers. (Once the tool is running you can release the lock button.) 2. To turn the tool OFF, release the trigger.
Here are a few troubleshooting tips as well
Check the Power Source: Ensure the power cord is securely connected to both the chainsaw and the power outlet. Make sure the outlet is working by testing it with another device.
Power Switch: Confirm that the power switch is in the “ON” position.
Extension Cord: If you’re using an extension cord, make sure it’s in good condition and rated for outdoor use. A damaged or inappropriate extension cord can prevent the chainsaw from starting.
Oil Level: Verify that the oil reservoir is filled to the correct level. The chainsaw won’t start if the oil level is too low.
Safety Features: Ensure all safety features are properly engaged. This includes the trigger switch and any safety locks.
