Why am I getting sent around and around and around. Were do you go to get help or a straight frickin answer with craftsman? Does anyone know? It's been like 3 hrs on this site and I have been sent from one end to the other.

Same here such a run around  Close some more stores up so more people get this B.S.

Craftsman warranty is dead. Only hope is if you repurchase the new product line from SBD and get service that way. And who knows for how long, especially with SBD history. It's like having to repurchase videos when we converted from VHS to DVD to streaming. I am going to try a different brand with a better company.

Lowes wont replace the tool unless it is an identical tool that they have in stock. Replacing an old 36 tooth ratchet but all they have is 72 tooth? “Nope can’t replace it”

I was successful in getting three new upgraded ratchets sent to me last august just by emailing craftsman support via the contact us warranty link.
All I needed was pictures of the ratchets with their stamped numbers on them, a description of the problem, and to give my address.

Got new higher end ratchets sent for free no more questions. No shipping the old back. It was. Other Lhan lowe’s being sticklers, it was an alright experience. Hopefully it goes as well this time too.

Austin Ollar I  hope I have as much luck as you did.Been getting the run around from dealers I hope the pics I sent get me somewhere.

Brian O'Toole I hope so too. I just received three more in the same fashion I did last time. It took a long time for the response and shipping. something like 3-4 weeks.

I can forward you the email thread if you'd like to kinda get a template on how to go about it.

Austin Ollar  I did send them pics just before I replied to your comment.Got a response back 5 mins later asking for my full address so maybe I will get a replacement.

  • Austin Ollar

Brian O'Toole Probably will then. they told me I'd get mine in about 2 weeks this time. It took more like 4 i just checked the date of the email when he said he was sending them.

First drove from NH to the only Sears store in Mass and they had nothing also very rude sale lady I spoke to. Then we’re went to a Lowe’s in Kingston Mass. she told me they were doing it and if they did I would need sale slips showing I bought them . Now I been a Mechanic for over 20 yrs and purchased many of Craftsmen’s Tools because of the warranty and returned them with no problem before. Be this is unacceptable nobody saves slips it says Craftsman on the tool that is warranty. So on the way home I stopped in Tilton NH at a Lowe’s and they had no problem exchanging the broken tools that I need except for one ratchet that I will have to call for. If certain Lowe’s aren’t going to warranty the tools why are they selling them?

I would like to thank,Austin Ollar.

I was having trouble trying to get older ratchet’s warrantied wen to Lowe’s they said couldn’t do it because the came from a combo set. I read Austin’s post ,did exactly what he’d did and couldn’t believe how easy it was a gentleman named Jaun helped me and which an hour he contacted me back  set up a claim for me and also sent me an e mail telling me my replacement tools were on their way to my address.

Thanks again to Austin and Jaunwho helped me with the warranty!!!!!!

Craftsman is a joke anymore. I have tons of tools that are worthless with out lowes or

I contacted them last week about a 1/4" ratchet that the nimrod at Lowe's wouldn't replace because it was an older one.
Contacted craftsman & submitted a claim.
They were on it quick. A couple photos of old ratchet & within 1&1/2 wks had a brand new nice V series 1/4" in the mail.
    Great experience.

    Thanks
