This article explains how to locate the date code on Craftsman batteries and chargers.

For batteries, you can find the date code on top printed or engraved directly on the plastic housing near the charging cells. It's six digits long and has a date format.

For most of our chargers, you can find both the date code at the bottom of the unit. This information can be engraved or printed directly on the plastic.
